Yelp Badge Day celebrates the annual Yelp Elite badges that show up on Yelpers' profiles, and since 2022, the Inland Empire + Coachella Valley Elite Squad has thrown its own RSVP-only celebration at Haven City Market in Rancho Cucamonga. I handled the concept, vendor coordination with Haven City's food hall, and full on-the-ground production, turning a digital badge update into a real reason for hundreds of Elites to show up and eat their way through the food hall. My favorite part was watching people who'd only ever interacted through reviews finally meet in person over vegan jerky samples.
